Masaki Kakizoe
Principal:Licensed Architect in the United Kingdom & First class licensed Architect in Japan

Masaki Kakizoe, born in 1981, graduated from University College London in 2006 and became a UK registered Architect after gaining experience at three London based architectural firms, including Richard Rogers Partnership. He served as a chief architect at Kengo Kuma & Associates from 2011 to 2017, in-charge of various international projects, such as V&A at Dundee. Founded Kakizoe Architects in 2017 and worked as an adjunct instructor at The University of Tokyo in 2018. Since 2019 he has concurrently worked as an interpreter specializing in the hotel development and construction industry. Co-founded JUNKAN in 2022.

Kazuya Katagiri
Principal:First class licensed Architect in Japan

Kazuya Katagiri, born in 1981, graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology in 2007 and co-founded Lopez Katagiri ARCHITECTS (Mexico) in 2007. He also served as a project architect at Kengo Kuma & Associates from 2010 to 2014 before founded Katagiri Architecture + Design in 2014. He worked as a program associate at Kengo Kuma Laboratory at The University of Tokyo and taught design studios at Universidad de Monterrey and Kogakuin University. He received numerous international prizes including; Architects' Directory 2017 by Wallpaper Magazine as one of the promising practices from around the world. Co-founded JUNKAN in 2022.
